God made humanity different from everything else. We are the only thing made in the image of God. That doesn’t mean we look like God. Instead, we were meant to be the reflection of the righteousness, morality, and relational nature of God. Because God loves us, He gave Adam and Eve free will. That free will led to the problem of sin.

Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, all of humanity is born with a propensity to sin. Maybe you’ve heard the word and been made to feel ashamed. Sin is living in opposition to what God has for your life. And sin is a universal problem. But with a universal problem, God gives us a universal solution.

God’s universal solution is for everyone. It doesn’t matter where you came from or what you did. The solution to resolving our own unrighteousness was that Jesus would a real, physical death to cover the consequence of our sin. Only He could do this because He is both Son of Man and Son of God. He lived a perfect life. Here is the best part, death couldn’t hold Him! Three days after the cross, He walked out of the tomb! He sacrifice covered your sin, and by defeated death He made sure it would stick.
